The Clem Battye Legacy Award Mr. Clement Battye, author and poet, died at age 99. In his honour The Clem Battye Legacy Award was established in 2001, aimed at offering emerging writers and poets an opportunity to showcase their talents.
Young Okanagan Writers This contest began in 2006 to encourage and recognize excellence in our local youth writers, and has each year resulted in an anthology of winning and honorable mention entries, titled Gems of the Okanagan. In 2008/09, the contest expandED to include young writers from all over the province of BC.
